In the anime *Kirby: Right Back at Ya!*, King Dedede's Castle is the home of the self-proclaimed ruler of Dream Land, King Dedede, and his assistant Escargoon. Tiff and Tuff, siblings who befriend Kirby, have lived in the castle their whole lives because of their parents' wealth — Tiff is the daughter of the Cabinet Minister. The castle is where Dedede and Escargoon frequently attempt to eliminate Kirby using monsters provided by NightMare Enterprises. Meta Knight, a Star Warrior and one of the sole survivors of the war with Nightmare, works for Dedede alongside his followers Sword Knight and Blade Knight, though he is secretly an ally to Kirby and his friends. The castle is also where Kirby crash-lands after his spaceship detects monsters on Popstar, awakening him 200 years ahead of schedule in Cappy Town (Pupu Village in the Japanese version).
