Queen Sectonia
The self-proclaimed Queen of Floralia who merges with the Dreamstalk to become a giant flower-like monster.
Queen Sectonia is the primary antagonist of *Kirby: Triple Deluxe*, a 2014 platform game developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS. She is a vespid-being who proclaims herself the Queen of Floralia, a kingdom in the sky. Taranza, an arachnid-like being, works for her. She orders Taranza to kidnap King Dedede, mistakenly believed to be the hero who could be summoned via the Dreamstalk. After Kirby defeats Taranza and a hypnotized King Dedede, Queen Sectonia scolds Taranza for his failure, blasting him with her staff. Kirby then faces and defeats Queen Sectonia. However, she merges with the Dreamstalk and turns into a giant flower-like monster, spreading vines across Popstar. With help from King Dedede and a reformed Taranza, Kirby eventually defeats her for good by inhaling her giant laser blast and spitting it back at her.

Lore & Background
Queen Sectonia is a vespid-being who rules Floralia, a kingdom in the sky. She commands Taranza, who carries out her orders. She ordered the Floralians to plant the Dreamstalk in Dream Land, hoping to summon that land's hero to aid them. Mistakenly believing King Dedede to be that hero, Taranza kidnapped him on Queen Sectonia's orders. Her goal is to use the Dreamstalk to take over Dream Land. After Kirby defeats her initial form, she merges with the Dreamstalk and transforms into a giant flower-like monster, spreading vines across Popstar and ripping out pieces of land. In the final battle, after Kirby defeats her again, she grabs Kirby with her vines and tries to crush him. King Dedede and Taranza (who has had a change of heart) rescue Kirby and give him a Miracle Fruit. Kirby finishes Queen Sectonia by inhaling her giant laser blast and spitting it back at her, destroying her. In The True Arena, Queen Sectonia uses Miracle Fruits to revive herself as Soul of Sectonia, a harder version with brand new attacks. Defeating her first form makes her rip herself out of the Dreamstalk for a final bonus boss. Upon her final defeat, she explodes in a flurry of blue petals, with a single large, sparkling blue petal drifting down the screen.
In Their Own Story
From her tower in Royal Road, the capital city of Floralia, Queen Sectonia watched as the Dreamstalk lifted Kirby's house and Castle Dedede into the sky. She had ordered the Floralians to plant the seed, hoping to summon Dream Land's hero. When Taranza brought her a hypnotized King Dedede, she believed her plan was working. But Kirby followed, defeating Taranza and freeing the king. Enraged, Queen Sectonia scolded Taranza, blasting him away with her staff. She then turned her sights on Kirby. After a hard battle, Kirby defeated her, but she merged with the Dreamstalk, becoming a giant flower-like monster. She spread vines across Popstar, ripping out pieces of land. With Dedede's help, Kirby got through her vines and confronted her again. After another hard battle, Kirby defeated her, but she grabbed him with her vines and tried to crush him. King Dedede and a reformed Taranza came to Kirby's rescue, freeing him and giving him a Miracle Fruit. Kirby finished Queen Sectonia by inhaling her giant laser blast and spitting it back at her, destroying her. With Floralia rescued, the Dreamstalk was purified and became a permanent fixture of Dream Land.
